橡胶止水带和止水橡皮是以天然橡胶与各种合成橡胶为主要原料,掺加各种助剂及填充料,经塑炼、混炼、压制成型，其品种规格较多，有桥型、山型、P型、U型、Z型、乙型、T型、H型、E型、Q型等。根据使用情况又可分类为埋式橡胶止水带和背贴式橡胶止水带。该止水材料具有良好的弹性,耐磨性、耐老化性和抗撕裂性能,适应变形能力强、防水性能好，温度使用范围为-45℃-+60℃.当温度超过70℃,以及橡胶止水带受强烈的氧化作用或受油类等有机溶剂侵蚀时，均不得使用橡胶止水带.二：使用方法 橡胶止水带必需采取可靠的固定措施，绑扎钢筋和支模时。防止在浇注混凝土时发生位移，保证止水带在混凝土中的正确位置。 只能在止水带的允许部位上穿孔打洞，对于固定止水带时。不得损坏止水带有效防水部位。 常用的固定方法有：利用附加钢筋固定；专用卡具固定；用铅丝和模板固定等。不论采用何种固定方法，对于止水带的固定方法应按设计要求的施工规范进行且必需保证止水带定位准确，不损坏止水带有效防水部位，方便混凝土浇捣。
